Op woensdag 26 oktober is onze prinses Ayla geboren. Ons geluk wilden wij vastleggen middels een newborn fotoshoot. Daarvoor wilden wij de beste fotograaf. Mijn zusje adviseerde Elena Jongman. (Zij heeft ook een newborn shoot bij Elena gedaan).

Na contact te hebben opgenomen, voor de bevalling, is Elena bij ons thuis gekomen om wensen door te nemen en de woonkamer in zich op te nemen, zodat ze zich goed kon voorbereiden.

Op 6 november was de grote dag!

Elena was prachtig op tijd en had heel veel mooie spullen bij zich.

Wij hadden besloten Elena de vrije hand te geven en op haar professionaliteit te vertrouwen, en wat was dat een slimme zet!!

Elena nam uitvoerig de tijd en liet zich leiden door het ritme van Ayla. Ze troostte haar, suste haar, knuffelde haar en ging volledig op in haar werk.

Just received a lovely small envelope with CD from Elena, the result of fantastic photo shoot, which took place in one sunny day in Assen. It was a great pleasure to work with Elena. Laatst een fotoshoot gehad met ons dochtertje van 3,5 jaar bij Elena. Wat een feestje! Ze kon kiezen uit verschillende prinsessenjurken met bijpassende haarbandjes en zelfs kroontjes. Ook was er gezorgd voor diverse zeer zorgvuldig gestylde achtergronden, wat in combinatie met het juiste jurkje en aankleding zorgde voor een prachtig totaal plaatje. En wat een geduld. Werkelijk alles werd ingezet voor het perfecte plaatje. We komen zeker terug!

Elena is a very good photographer: when she does something, she wants it to be done the best way possible for her and even better. From what I gathered from the way we worked together and the conversations we had she has a rigid idea of what she wants but also dares step away from it a bit to create new possibilities. She takes time preparing for a photo shoot and takes time afterwards in the editing.

For me, it was great being in front of her camera: she encourages me to do what I do and let me know what she thought was great, but also she communicated her own ideas to me for poses, so we got in a sort of flow where sometimes input came from her, sometimes from me.

Als ik kijk naar onze trouwfoto's, die Elena heeft voor ons gemaakt, zie ik liefde, tederheid, geluk...Elke foto vertelt een eigen verhaal. Geen gewone photoshoot, maar lach, kus, gesprek, gebaar, die Elena heeft met haar camera gevangen. Foto's zijn sprookjesachtig, ik kan het niet anders noemen. Dank je wel! Als cadeau voor het 40-jarige huwelijk van mijn ouders heeft Elena op het Balloerveld de kinderen en kleinkinderen op beeld vastgelegd. Voor de shoot had Elena al enige research gedaan en tijdens de shoot had ze spulletjes voor de kinderen mee. Erg fijn. Elena geeft advies waarbij ze zich heel goed in een ander verplaatst. Al met al hebben we gewoon een hele leuke gezellige dag gehad.
